♥ HELLO LOVE

D.I.Y. your own nail art
Have you ever think to have your own manicure & pedicure that easily to bring for travelling, didn't take so much space and easy to use also not to forget safe from the dangerous chemical?

As you know I am a lazy person who always say no time to do because to be honest we have to spend 1-2 hours at salon. Not to mention that how expensive it can be. Doing it with express manicure/pedicure definitely won't long lasting. Like seriously only for few days it will chip off. That't gel polish always become the good option for long lasting.

Now you can have your own kits to do your own manicure/pedicure at home or anywhere else. Only using simple steps without base coat and top coat will still maintain the same quality like salon gives.

I was invited to The PinkRoom International Nail Academy workshop that works together with QTTIE GELLY.
I did my own DIY nail art ( picture above )

Day 1
Condition after more than 2 weeks
I was satisfied with how simple and easy to use the kit and also how lasting the product quality. Not to forget saving my money for spending every 2 weeks on nails only.

So I decided to get my own starter kit.
With only $98 you can get 1 set of starter kit with 1 gel polish, 1 UV light (portable) and the cleanse.
Qttie Gelly comes with 30 colours for you to choose.

Qttie DIY Starter Kit
$98
For more information about QTTIE GELLY, please check their website www.qttie.com or their social media.

So what do you think?
This product I can say :
  1. so affordable price
  2. safe time
  3. easy to use
  4. lasting
  5. travel handy
  6. safe from dangerous chemical
  7. a lot of variation to choose
Can't wait to do another creation on my own again ;)

Have a nice day!

Thank you for reading

We are Singapore, we are Singapore~~~

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸŽ‰

(Did we reveal our age by choosing an "oldie" for the title of this post?)

Cue all 1980s kids 🎢
"We are Singapore, we are Singapore
We will stand together hear the lion roar"

🦁🎢
πŸ“» We found the original tv MTV for We Are Singapore on YouTube!

It was the NDP theme song in 1987. And it was one of the songs sang during our school days!
QTTiE's celebrating this special day with our Nation by paying tribute to things that makes us special. #throwback to the SG50 Collection we launched during our nation's big 50th birthday.
#3. MERLION WHITE 🦁

The Superstar of Singapore! The One whom every tourist bound to visit. A mystical creature - The MERLION.

There are five official Merlions statues in Singapore. Two of them are located at Merlion Park, adjacent to the promenade of One Fullerton (1 of them seen in pix). A third Merlion is 37 metres high and is found on Sentosa island. The fourth Merlion is located at the headquarters of the Singapore Tourism Board at 1 Orchard Spring Lane.

5. KOPI C BROWN ☕ this is only one member of the whole kopi series. Sit in a Kopitiam (literally translate to Coffee Shop/ ε’–ε•‘εΊ— in Hokkien) and you'll hear the many different names....
kopiO (without milk),
kopi siewdai (less sugar),
kopi (with milk),
kopi po (diluted)....
the list goes on, and in different shades of brown.

KOPI is such a big part of culture. Remember the phrase "Lim/La Kopi"? Not someone by that name... But to go grab a drink or chillllll.

Which is your favourite coffee?
6. SNGAPORE SLING 🍸

Back then, women drinking in public was frowned upon and social etiquette has deterred them to do so. But the creation of the Singapore Sling in 1915 has since changed the ladies’ fate forever.

The orange-coloured cocktail concoction had successfully disobeyed the prevalent social taboo and allowed ladies to drink liquor-infused fruit punches at Raffles Hotel without having to worry about their image.

Have you tried the Singapore Sling? 🍸

7. CHILLI CRAB πŸ¦€
Madam Cher Yam Tian’s first attempt was stir-fried crabs with tomato sauce, but decided the dish will have more kick by adding chilli sauce. They sold their chilli crabs along Kallang River and it became so popular that they opened a restaurant, called Palm Beach.
A famous chef, who opened Dragon Phoenix restaurant later, added a slight twist to the dish – using sambal, tomato paste and eggs to cook the gravy instead of bottled chilli and tomato sauces. This has since become the version most commonly served in Singapore.

8. SAMSUI WOMEN

Samsui women, also known as hong tou jin (纒倴巾; Mandarin for “red headscarf”) after their trademark red headgear, were female immigrant workers have contributed to the development of Singapore.

Samsui women did manual labour similar to coolies but were more independent.

A silent yet formidable force, the Samsui women have literally built many of Singapore's icons.
They had a reputation of rejecting jobs involving drug (particularly opium) peddling, prostitution, or other vices, even if that meant they sometimes had to live in poverty. Which was highly respected.

πŸŽ₯Watch Samsui Women 纒倴巾 by Mediacorp.
A 24-part series “Samsui Woman” explores the hard and gruesome lives of these women who, in order to support their family in China, leaves their homeland. (3 part series available on Toggle)

9. ICE KACHANG 🍧

Ice Kachang literally meaning "ice bean", a popular dessert in sunny Singapore! Underneath the colorful ice is an array of beans, corn and jelly.

Some of our most lasting and iconic dishes were borne out of necessity and ingenuity and the ice kachang is definitely one of them!

Review : Qttie Gel Polish

Hello to all today is a very easy nail art and pretty basic I realized as I test the gel varnish at Qttie and I had never done nail art with only gel polish so I confess that I 'had a little afraid of the result. I had the chance to receive a starter kit that I find really cute because it really is portability and easy to use. Besides this may be why the price is high enough, the products are very good, plus they are not tested on animals and do not contain the following toxic chemicals: toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor. For me the first I love the polish but there are toxins that seep into our blood and skin and are very dangerous. So mind you.

I explain everything in the video but in summary:
- Step 1: Clean the nail to remove dust & oil.
- Step 2: Paint your nail with gelly polish (apply thin layer for first coat for longer lasting effect)
- Step 3: Dry the polish in the LED Stick for 30 secs. Repeat for 2nd coat of color.
- And you're good to go !
Press play for the video πŸ‘‡πŸ»
It is true that the lamp is pretty small we can do only one finger at a time, but your nail just needs 30 seconds to dry and as I show you in the video it's made to be able to store gel polish inside That is extremely convenient if you go on vacation or traveling because you carry the lamp with gel polish on it. It does not take place and you will be certain to have a perfect manicure for days because the gel polish stay much longer than basic nail polish. For nail art is also pretty good because as each layer it is passed under the lamp at the end when you apply the top coat everything is dry and there is no smudge that spoil the whole nail art!
To remove the gel polish do not scrape your nails this will damage and weaken them. Wrap with acetone for 10-15 minutes!
TIPS : With Qttie Gel Polish you do not need base and top coat, everything is included in the color. And for those who know a little gel polish there is no need to clean the nails at the end. The use is extremely easy and fast
TIPS #2 : Be careful to clean the edges of your nails before the lamp step because if it does not adhere to your nail it may not stay long and may take off.

Qttie for Scarlett

 MEET SCARLETT

A Holland lop rabbit who loves to play with her toys and spends her days munching on pellets and hay.

Behind her innocent face hides a broken heart. Scarlett was severely neglected and given up twice by her previous owners. Though she is now safe in a foster home, she require medical attention and multiple surgeries to aid her back to good health.

Her medical fees and long term care are estimated to cost more than $1000.

Scarlett would need to go through a dental surgery to remove her broken bottom incisors, which makes it difficult for her to enjoy her favorite food.

Our hearts ache at the thought of all the pain this little bundle of joy goes through. πŸ’”

The kind people at Bunniful Ideas put together a DIY Gel Manicure Workshop. Workshop fees will go towards caring for Scarlett and her furry friends. πŸ‡

The birth of Qttie | Singapore brand

We'd like to think that Qttie is an indie brand with a heart ❤.
(lol πŸ€— *self-praise* let's go along with this while we think of a better word... unofficially on Dayre only)

🚩 Purpose driven
🚩 Independently funded
🚩 Design conscious
🚩 Small batches
🚩 Non-traditional marketing

A project of the modern 21st century gal~ it started with the idea of creating a really simple to DIY Gel kit that ANY ONE can do.
Our founder πŸ‘§ Rachel (@iamracheltang ) wanted to do something for her Mom. Knowing how therapeutic nails can be, & how pretty nails uplifts our moods. She wanted to pamper her Mom with pretty nails but she didn't have much time at home to do it.

She turned to buying DIY gel kits by "big" brands from retail stores. The excitement died off quickly as the kits were too complicated.

Too many steps... too many products... and often, with a strong pungent smell.
Rachel, who is well versed in the nail industry, noticed this gap in the nail market. Thus decided to take things in her own hands! #punintended

She brought this idea up with the professional nail brand that she had been consulting for, Angelpro, who is also big on the Organic Philosophy, which Rachel developed. And they worked closely to fulfill what Rachel had in mind.

🌟 Easy to use
🌟 Suitable for everyone
🌟 Cost friendly
🌟 Health conscious

That's how Qttie conceptualized!
Along the journey, Rachel met with many cool people... people in the media, doing design, owners of their own products, etc. So we would see many collaborations in the pipeline.

Qttie chose to take baby steps towards achieving bigger results. Instead of spending tons on marketing, or even packaging, the funds go towards developing the formula. Thus Qttie is able to create the toxic-free DIY gel polish for you girls!
 Small, but mighty.
Through word of mouth, and recommendations, Qttie had been successfully reaching out to new people, like yourselves, everyday!

We humbly listen to feedbacks from our users. And troubleshoot along the way. We are so thankful for everyone's support... our team members & even their family and friends who didn't shun away when we needed a helping hand, or rather, the nails on those hands.

#qttie

comes in this really pretty box!

comes with a portable LED UV light stick which is damn cool.

comes with one nail polish only tho and I chose 'Corgi Buttwalk' πŸ˜‚

also works like the ones in the nail salon.

just paint a thin layer then cure under the light for 20-30 sec. Then paint another layer and do the same thing.

end product!! actually not bad eh. and i think it took me less than 20 min to complete both hands?
